Philip Arnold -
Director/Producer
Kviahellan:
The Pen Slab is Philip Arnold's first film, a short documentary
that explores the ancient custom of stone lifting. Mr. Arnold's interest in
film first came to fruition in High School, where he made several Super 8
movies, mainly short features on historical subjects. His pastimes include
writing, with poems published in journals across the US as well as in Wales,
Scotland and England, and in a collection, The Border Life, published by Lone
Willow Press.
Jim Williams -
Associate Producer/Editor/Music
Film
and video production have been a hobby for Jim Williams for more than two
decades. This interest started with Super-8 movies in high school, moving
on to public affairs and promotional video production for non-profit and
educational institutions. Kviahellan: The Pen Slab is
his first professional effort.
He continues his more than
two-decades-long career as a software developer. However, unlike his role
model Andrew Jarecki (founder of MovieFone, multi-millionaire and first time
director of "Capturing the Friedmans"), he plans to keep his day job.
His plan is to make his first couple hundred million in the
documentary film business, allowing him to retire early from software
development before it drains every last ounce of creativity from his body.
